What is Crossfit?

CrossFit is for everyone. It’s an approach to working out that takes different aspects of fitness and combines them into one incredible programme. The movements we use are “functional”, meaning that everything we do in our workouts will make everything you do outside of the gym much easier. You’ll learn gymnastics, Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, you’ll run, jump, row, carry - the list goes on! With all these options, no two workouts will look the same, the possibilities are endless. And our brilliant coaches will be on hand to keep you moving well, and safe, from day one.

Sarah Macdonald

CFH Coach, CF-L3

Sarah is one of the most passionate and dedicated coaches you’ll ever meet. With 17 years of coaching behind her, she has a wealth of experience to draw on. Originally from Atlanta, GA, Sarah now calls Haddington home. Having become one of Scotland’s first female CrossFit Level 3 trainers in 2018, she and her family founded CrossFit Haddington in May 2019.

Jacob Walker

CFH Coach, CF-L2

Jacob has been with CFH since day one. He runs upbeat sessions and is great at giving memorable cues that you can immediately adopt. Attention to detail with his own technique informs his coaching of others and his clear and effective coaching style means you’ll walk away both better and more knowledgeable about how to move well. You’ll see this talented lad hovering around with his camera catching you in action. Filmmaking takes him all over Europe, to some of the biggest comps and leading boxes, but you’ll also see his content on our social media and website.

Beginner Pack

£20 per pack

No previous CrossFit experience? No problem! Let’s get started! This pack is two sessions designed specifically for those that are new to CrossFit. Our coaches will explain the nine foundational movements that underpin everything you’ll do at CFH. They’ll introduce how we do things and ensure that you are comfortable with the workouts, equipment and movements. You need absolutely no athletic or sporting experience. Let’s take this first step together and dive into what’s possible.

If you can’t commit to our membership, or you’re just passing through, this is the one. Buy a single session at a time. 

CFH Kids & Teens

  • Drop-In - £5, Unlimited £20 per month
  • CrossFit sessions designed specifically for Kids and Teens that build a foundation for a love of fitness and sport from a young age. We want being active and healthy to be FUN - that’s when it will stick for a lifetime. We do this through games, interactive teaching of the foundational movements, WoDs that incorporate what’s been learned, and nutrition and wellbeing education.
